How long does a detail take?
The time it takes to complete a detail can vary based on several factors — including the size of the vehicle, the level of dirtiness, and the specific services requested.
Here’s a general breakdown of what to expect:
Full Detail: 5 to 7 hours
Interior Detail Only: 3 to 5 hours
Exterior Detail Only: 2 to 4 hours
We recommend a 9:00 AM drop-off to have your vehicle ready between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
Some vehicles may need to stay overnight if they require:
Odor removal treatments
Ceramic coating applications
Additional time to complete as the vehicle is heavily soiled
Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
We highly recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure we can reserve time and staff for your vehicle.
Walk-ins may be accepted if:
You arrive before 10:00 AM.
We have availability in the schedule.
There is enough staff on hand that day.
That said, we are rarely able to take walk-ins due to how quickly our schedule fills up. Booking ahead guarantees the best experience and the attention your vehicle deserves.
Do I need to stay with the car, or can I drop it off?
You’re welcome to wait in our lobby, but keep in mind that a full detail typically takes most of the day. Most customers choose to drop off their vehicle instead.
Drop-Off Options:
Same-Day Drop-Off: Arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM for same-day completion.
Day Before Drop-Off: You can drop off the day before between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM—we’ll securely store your vehicle inside overnight.
Call for other drop-off options, and we will assist you to the best of our abilities.
Shuttle Service:
We offer a free morning shuttle from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM for drop-offs in West Lafayette or Lafayette.
Please note: You’ll need to arrange your own ride back to the shop for pickup.
What should I remove from the vehicle before bringing it in?
We recommend removing all personal belongings, such as child seats and valuables, from your vehicle before your detailing appointment, especially from the:
Glove box and center console
Door pockets and cupholders
Trunk and cargo areas
This helps us clean every area thoroughly and prevents any items from being misplaced. While we’re careful with everything inside your vehicle, we’re not responsible for lost or damaged personal items left behind.
If you’re not sure what to remove, it’s always better to take out anything valuable, fragile, or personal.
Will a full detail remove all the stains, odors, or scratches?
Our detailing services can significantly improve or eliminate many odors, stains, and light surface scratches, but results can vary based on the severity and source of the issue.
Odors: We use deep cleaning methods and professional-grade products to neutralize most interior smells. Severe odors (like smoke or pet urine) may require additional treatments.
Stains: Most stains respond well to our process, but some deep-set or old stains may not come out 100%—though we’ll get them as light as possible.
Scratches: Light surface scratches (especially in the clear coat) can often be minimized or removed with polishing. Deeper scratches that go beyond the paint may need bodywork or touch-up services, which we can advise on.
We always aim for the best possible results and will walk you through realistic expectations before we start!
Will the detail damage my paint, window tint, leather, or electronics?
Not at all. We take every precaution to protect your vehicle during the detailing process.
Here’s how we keep everything safe:
Paint: We use soft microfiber mitts, proper washing techniques, and pH-balanced soaps to avoid scratches or swirl marks.
Tinted Windows: All glass is cleaned with ammonia-free, tint-safe products.
Leather & Interiors: We use cleaners and conditioners that are specifically formulated for automotive leather and trim, keeping them hydrated and protected, not greasy or cracked.
Electronics & Screens: Interior surfaces are cleaned by hand using low-moisture techniques and safe tools to avoid damaging screens, buttons, or controls.
Your vehicle is in good hands—we treat every car like it’s our own.
Window Tint
Frequently Asked Questions
Is window tinting legal, and how dark can my windows be?
Yes, but laws vary by state and vehicle type. Check out Indiana Window Tinting Laws.
What are the benefits of window tinting?
Window tinting offers both functional and aesthetic advantages, including:
UV Protection – Blocks over 99% of harmful rays to prevent interior fading and damage.
Shatter Resistance – Helps hold glass together in case of accidents or break-ins.
Privacy & Security – Deters theft by keeping valuables out of sight.
Stylish Look – Adds a sleek, custom appearance to your vehicle.
Increased Resale Value – Protects the interior and appeals to future buyers.
Cooler Cabin & Better Efficiency – Reduces heat buildup, easing the load on your A/C and improving fuel economy.
What’s the difference between standard and ceramic tint?
Both standard and ceramic window tints enhance privacy, reduce glare, block UV rays to protect your interior, and give your vehicle a sleek, stylish appearance.
But ceramic tint offers a major upgrade—delivering superior heat rejection by better blocking infrared heat, helping your cabin stay cooler and more comfortable.
How long does window tinting take, and do I need to stay with the car or drop it off?
Most tinting jobs take between 1 to 3 hours, depending on the vehicle size, number of windows, and tint type.
You’re welcome to wait in our lobby, but most customers choose to drop off their vehicle instead.
Will tinting affect my visibility, signal, or defroster?
High-quality tints are designed to reduce glare and UV rays without significantly affecting nighttime visibility. We’ll help you choose a shade that balances both performance and safety.
Properly, professionally installed quality film won’t damage rear defrosters or in-glass antennas. We take extra care to ensure compatibility with factory features.
Do tinted windows require special care?
Proper care helps your tint stay looking and performing its best.
Don’t roll down the windows or wash interior glass for at least 2–7 days after installation—this lets the film cure and adhere properly.
After curing, use a soft microfiber cloth with mild soap‑and‑water or a tint‑specific cleaner. Avoid ammonia, vinegar, abrasive tools, and household glass cleaners—they can cause peeling, discoloration, scratching, or haziness.
